Straps or it does not roll

Prep equipment and the vac are about $250,000+ riding with you. An unstrapped $9,000 vac took a 10-inch dent. The barrel was $1,400. That is not bad luck.

  • Treat every hop as a crash test
  • Name what gets strapped: vac, grinder, boxes, wands, cords
  • Stop a truck that is not tied — even if you are not the driver

This is what 'ready to roll' looks like. Loose equipment is not loaded. It is a claim waiting on a brake.

Load-out — no one drives until this is true

    Vac

    Wheels chocked or locked. Body strapped to a rated point. Wand and hose not free missiles. Lid/barrel latched.

    Grinder and prep equipment

    The PG 690P and every walk-behind tied to rated points. Attachments in cases or strapped. Nothing 'just sitting in the well.'

  3. 03
    Consumables and cords

    Cords coiled and hung or binned. Not a spaghetti pile that becomes a trip and a $200 cord in a parking lot.

    Second set of eyes

    Someone who did not load it walks it. Driver does not get to 'remember on the road.'

    Short hop

    Same straps. Highway, dirt road, two blocks to the next dock — same physics.
