Product Knowledge: Mortars, Toppings & Slopes
Phase 1 product certification, part two — the floor itself. MavClad (epoxy mortar) and MavCrete (urethane cement) are Maverick's two main system lines and build the floor on roughly 99% of our projects, underneath the coatings. Also covers the MavTop decorative broadcast line and the MavGrout sloping grout that builds fall to a drain. This is the section that decides food plants, freezers, and wash-down bays.
- 01MavClad — epoxy mortarThe 100% solids epoxy mortar system for high-abuse floors — heavy manufacturing, machine shops, warehouse walk lanes, and integral cove. Knowing where epoxy mortar does not belong matters more than knowing where it does.20 min
- 02MavCrete — urethane cementThe cementitious urethane matrix that survives what epoxy mortar cannot: green concrete, thermal shock, aggressive chemistry, and outdoor exposure. This is the family that wins food plants and freezers.25 min
- 03MavTop — decorative broadcastQuartz broadcast (UQB) and epoxy flake broadcast (EFB / EFB-DB). Broadcast physics — density, reject rate, and aggregate grade — is where reps either sound like installers or get caught guessing.22 min
- 04MavGrout — sloping groutMavGrout USP is the cementitious urethane sculpting grout used to build positive slope at 1/2 inch to 3 inches — trench drains, floor sinks, and wash-down bay pitches. Not a joint filler, not a self-leveler, not a polyurea.15 min
