Sample / chip handoff
Sales shows a board, crew is asked to 'match this,' or a mockup becomes the standard.
- 01Label
System name, chip ID, date, job. Not 'the gray one in the truck.'
- 02Log
Sample log. Who left with it. Whether it is a control sample or a giveaway.
- 03Mockup
If specified, schedule it, protect it, photograph it. It becomes acceptance.
- 04Handoff
Office gets the ID before the crew is told to match it.
Never
- Promise a 10-year color match from a weathered chip.
- Let samples walk without a log.
- Match 'what they saw at a big-box store.'
Escalate if
- Owner wants a system we do not install.
- Mockup rejected — freeze production.
