How Industrial Flooring Actually Works

2. Why is surface preparation the most common reason a floor fails?
Because grinders are louder than shot blasters.
Resin bonds to a prepared profile and a clean, dry, sound slab. Coat over contamination, laitance, or moisture and the system delaminates.
Because prep is not in the spec.
Because clients refuse to pay for it.
3. A pharma client says they need 'coved base.' You understand that as:
A rubber wall base glued on later.
An integral radius where floor coating turns up the wall so there is no dirt-catching joint — critical for washdown and audits.

They are the same unit if you convert.
Architects only measure SF.
