Admin: approve the Order Brief
The approval step is what releases the Work Order, the project scratch and the deposit invoice. Nothing downstream exists until somebody approves.
- Open a submitted brief from the approval email
- Read the Pricing Comparison before deciding
- Approve, or send the brief back with a reason
Approving
- 01Open the email
Subject line marks it ADMIN APPROVAL REQUIRED. Click the Open Order Brief button in the email — it takes you straight to the record.
- 02Read who submitted and what they verified
The email lists the submitter, their colour and material/labour confirmations, and any note they left.
- 03Read the changes against the approved quote
Anything that moved between the approved quote and this brief is listed. Check those in Edit Pricing before approving.
- 04Read the Pricing Comparison
Profit, Cost to Complete and Contract. This is the number check — does the brief still match what we sold and what the contract says?
- 05Approve, or send it back
Approve releases the chain. Sending it back returns it to the submitter to fix — that is the only way a Submitted brief becomes editable again.
Takeaways
- Approval releases three things: the Work Order, the project scratch, and the deposit invoice.
- Read the Pricing Comparison — Profit, Cost to Complete and Contract — before approving.
- Admin approves against the contract, so the two match. A red-flagged brief needs Eric.
