Strap-down — before the key turns
Every time the trailer or box moves. Highway, dirt, two blocks, next dock.
- 01Vac
Wheels locked/chocked. Body to a rated point. Barrel latched. Wand and hose tied. Nothing 'heavy enough to stay.'
- 02Prep
Shotblaster, grinders, walk-behinds, attachments in cases or strapped. $250k+ rides with you.
- 03Cords and kits
Coiled, hung or binned. Lids on. No loose steel in the well.
- 04Second eyes
Someone who did not load it walks it. Driver does not 'remember on the road.'
- 05Hold
If it is not tied, it does not roll. Same authority as dew point.
Never
- We'll strap it at the next stop.
- It's a short hop.
- That's the driver's problem.
Escalate if
- Someone wants to roll unstrapped after you called it.
- You find damage that was hidden.
